CISF – AC(Exe) LDCE i.e. Central Industrial Security Force, Assistant Commandant (Executive) is a Limited Departmental Competitive Exam, conducted by UPSC for filling the vacancies of Assistant Commandants (Executive) in Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) for the year 2019.

The CISF provides security cover to 300 industrial units, government infrastructure projects and facilities and establishments located all over India. Many industrial sectors are protected by CISF. Some are given below

  • Atomic power plants,
  • Space installations,
  • Mines,
  • Oil fields and refineries,
  • Major ports,
  • Heavy engineering,
  • Steel plants,
  • Barrages,
  • Fertilliser units,
  • Airports and hydroelectric/thermal power plants

Eligibility Criteria

The following eligibility criteria is must for someone to apply for the post of CISF Assistant Commandants.

**NOTE: To be eligible, the candidates should have completed “4 years of regular service” in the rank of Sub Inspector (GD)/Inspector (GD) including the period of basic training and should have the clean record of service till the issue of offer of appointment.

Nationality & Gender

Only a citizen of India will be eligible to appear for the exam. Both male and female Indian citizens are eligible for appointment to the post of CISF Assistant Commandants.

Age Limit

The candidates must not have attained the age of 35 years on August 1, 2019 i.e. he/she must have been born not earlier than August 2, 1984. However, the upper age limit relaxation for other than general categories are as per government regulations.

Number of attempts

Every candidate appearing at the examination who is otherwise eligible shall be permitted 3 attempts at the examination.

Educational Qualification

The educational qualification for appearing in this competitive examination will be a graduate from a recognized University.

Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These desirable qualifications will be given consideration at the time of interview/Personality Test only.

The candidates applying for the examination should ensure that they fulfil all the eligibility conditions for admission to the examination.

UPSC CISF – AC(Exe) LDCE Physical Fitness Test

This test is simply a qualifying test. Anyone who is not fit enough to pass this test, shall be disqualified.

The Examination will be conducted in 2 stage as follows

  • Written Test – (Stage I)
  • Personality Test – (Stage II)

Interview/ Personality Test

The candidates who will qualify the Medical Standards Tests will be called for the Interview/Personality Test to be conducted by the UPSC.

The Interview/Personality Test will carry 200 marks and the candidate will be asked questions both in his/her own field as well as matters of general interest to test his/her awareness and understanding.

Job Prospects of CISF – AC Executive

Central Industrial Security Force provides security to private and cooperative establishments across the country for a fee with the passage of the CISF (Amendment) Bill, 2008.

CISF Executives under proper government protocol, can also be deployed to protect Indian missions abroad and it can also participate in the UN peacekeeping operations.

UPSC CISF – AC(Exe) Application Procedure

The application process for applying in the CISF – AC(Exe) LDCE is as same as it is for other UPSC LDCE exams. Candidates have to apply online through UPSC official site.

The eligible candidates shall be issued an e-admit card weeks before the commencement of examination.

Candidates are requested to keep ready the attested copies of the following documents for submission to the Commission soon after the declaration of the result of the written part of the part of the examination.

  1. Certificate of Age.
  2. Certificate of Educational Qualification.
  3. Certificate in support of claim to belong to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes where applicable.
  4. Certificate in support of claim for age/fee concession, where applicable.

Certificate in support of being Person with Benchmark Disability (where applicable)
