The company proposes recruits young and dynamic candidates through UIIC AO exam for its offices all over India for appointment in the Generalist and Specialist discipline.

UIIC or United Insurance Company Limited was established on 18th February 1938 incorporated as a 2nd largest general insurance company a part of Government of India.

22 Insurance Companies (12 Indian Insurance, 4 Cooperative Insurance Societies, 5 Foreign Insurers, & a General Insurance operations) merged to form UIIC establishment.

Eligibility Criteria for UIIC AO

Last year UIIC released eligibility criteria notification for Assistant Officer job. Candidate should check criteria before applying for a job below.

Age Limit

The candidates applying for UIIC AO exam should have a minimum age of 18 years and should have a maximum age of 28 years. Age relaxation is applicable as per govt. regulations.

Age Relaxation

  • For SC/ST Candidates – 10 years
  • For OBC Candidates – 3 years
  • For PWD Candidates – 10 years

Educational Qualification

The following education qualifications are required in order to apply for the respective posts

Generalists

  • Candidates should have a graduate degree from a govt-recognized university.
  • Proficiency in the region’s language for which candidates have applied.

Specialists

The UIIC AO exam is conducted in 2 different sections

  • Objective Test (Separate for Generalist & Specialist)
  • Descriptive Test (Essay & Letter Writing)

**NOTE: Qualifying Marks in Descriptive test for General is 15 marks and for SC/ST is 13.5 marks

Interview

A candidate shall be required to qualify in descriptive test, but the marks in descriptive paper shall not count for final selection.

The finally qualified candidates will be called for interview up to 3 times the vacancies of the respective categories/discipline and final selection will be made on the basis of performance in the online objective test and interview.

Application Procedure for UIIC AO

Application procedure Aspiring candidate can apply online through the official website of UIIC. Official link through which registration can be made will be mentioned in the official notification.

All the essential information should be filled carefully because after submission no changes could be made.

Application Fees:

  1. SC/ST/PWD = Rs. 100/-
  2. Others = Rs. 500/-

Salary of UIIC AO

The basic pay in UIIC AO salary (Administrative Officer- I) is Rs. 32,795/- and other admissible allowances as applicable in terms of the General Insurance (Rationalization of pay scales and other conditions of service of officers) Scheme, 1975 as amended from time to time.

  • Basic Pay: Rs. 32,795/-
  • Total Salary: Rs. 48,000/- per month
  • Total summed up Emoluments: Rs. 63,000/-

The newly recruited Administrative Officer Total Salary will be around Rs. 48,000/- in metropolitan cities along with other admissible allowances. It is to be noted that allowances may vary depending upon the place of posting. Along with UIIC AO Salary and Benefits, total emoluments sum up to Rs. 63,000/- per month (approx).
