Staff Selection Commission is going to announce it’s date for the upcoming CPO Exam for 2019. Recruitment in various police organizations/agencies is conducted through this exam.
If you qualify for this exam, then you get a chance to be placed as a sub-inspector in various central government security agencies. Appointment for Police Force in Central Government is conducted by Staff Selection Commission.
SSC CPO Exam 2019
This exam is called ‘SSC CPO EXAM’ (Staff Selection Commission Central Police Organization). This test is conducted annually.
As per the annual calendar that notifies about the tentative dates of various Staff Selection Commission Exam, a notification will be published online and in different newspapers all over India on 17th September 2019.

Eligibility Criteria
The eligibility criteria for SSC CPO Exams are mentioned below in details:
Nationality
In order to appear for SSC CPO Exam, the candidate must be any one of the following
- The candidate should be the citizen of India or a subject of Nepal, Bhutan.
- Tibetan refugee who came to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India. Candidates will have to present their valid documents that certify their citizenship at the time of document verification.
Age
The age limit for this job is 20 -25 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is permissible as per government rule. For detail refer to SSC official notification.
Educational Qualification
Candidate should have a bachelor degree from any recognized university or equivalent.
**NOTE: For the post of Sub Inspector in Delhi police, on the day of physical endurance test the male candidate is expected to have a valid driving license for the light motor vehicle (LMV). If they don’t have the driving license then they will be considered for all the other posts.
SSC CPO Exam Pattern
This exam consists of four Tier i.e. Tier – I, Physical Endurance Test followed by Tier –II. After qualifying in the above mention test, a detailed medical examination will be conducted at last.
TIER – I Exam
Tier – I is a computer-based exam, multiple choice question will be asked. Question from four categories will be asked.
**NOTE: There is a provision of negative marking of 0.25. So while answering the paper candidates should be careful.

TIER –II
This test is called the Physical Endurance Test (PET) or Physical Standard Test (PST).In this stage, body measurement of the candidate will be taken.
Height requirement for male, female, schedule tribe candidate and a person from hill region will be different. The weight of the candidate should be according to the height of the candidate.
They have to show their physical fitness.

TIER-III
TIER- III paper will comprise of English language and comprehension. This test will be conducted for examining their basic English language understanding and knowledge.
The questions will be from verb preposition, article vocabulary, spellings, grammar, sentence structure, synonyms & antonyms, idioms, and phrases, etc.
SSC CPO Job Prospects
When a candidate qualifies in all the four Tiers of the exam (i.e. Paper –I, Physical Endurance Test, Paper –II, Detailed Medical Test). They will be called for an appointment according to their preferences. Post for which the appointments are made are as follows:-
- Sub-inspector in Delhi Police.
- Sub-inspector in Border Security Force (BSF).
- Sub-inspector in Central Industrial Security Force( CISF).
- Sub-inspector in Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF).

Application Procedure
- Submission of form: Interested candidate can apply for the CPO exam through the official website of Staff Selection Commission i.e. https//ssc.nic.in, offline registration facility is not provided.
- Application fee: An Application fee for SSC CPO is Rs.100/- (one hundred only). The candidates belonging form Schedule Cast, Schedule Tribe, Ex-Servicemen and female categories are exempted from payment of the fee.
- Mode of payment: Payment of fee can be made through any credit/debit card, Rupay card. Payment through internet banking is also accepted. If a candidate wants to pay offline, then they can pay through challan at any of the branches of State Bank of India.
