The Staff Selection Commission has released the SSC CHSL 2019 notification on 5 March, 2019.
The Commission (SSC) will hold a competitive examination for recruitment to the posts of Lower Divisional Clerk/ Junior Secretariat Assistant, Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant and Data Entry Operators for various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India.

The SSC has released the notification of Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) (10+2), 2018 examination on 5 March 2019. The Exam will be conducted from 1 July 2019 to 26 July 2019 for recruitment to various posts in different Ministries/Departments of Government of India and their Attached & Subordinate Offices.

The qualification of the candidates are given below:
- For LDC/ JSA, PA/ SA, DEO (except DEOs in C&AG): The candidates must have passed 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.
- For Data Entry Operator (DEO) in the Office of Comptroller and Auditor General of India (C&AG): 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.
Applications must be submitted in online mode only at the official website (the link is given below). For detailed instructions, please refer to Annexure-I and Annexure-II of this Notice (the link is given below). A fee of Rs. 100 is to be paid by the candidates applying for the Exam through online and offline modes (some categories are exempted).
The examination will consist of a Computer Based Examination (Tier-I), Descriptive Paper (Tier-II) and Skill Test/ Typing Test (Tier-III).
A) Tier-I (Computer Based Examination-Objective Type)

** There will be negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
B) Tier-II (Descriptive Paper)
Tier-II Paper will be a descriptive Paper of 100 Marks in „Pen and Paper‟ Mode. The duration of the Descriptive Paper would be for one hour. The Paper would comprise writing of an Essay of 200-250 words and a Letter/ Application of approximately 150-200 words. The minimum qualifying marks in Tier-II would be 33 percent.
C) Tier-III (Skill Test/ Typing Test)
Skill Test/ Typing Test for the qualified candidates will be conducted on computers provided by the Commission or its authorized agency. Skill Test/ Typing Test will be of qualifying nature.
