National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) invites application from eligible candidates for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’ in the Rural Development Banking Service (RDBS). The Candidates have to apply online to appear in the Examination meant for the Posts.

Selected candidates will draw a starting basic pay of Rs. 28150/- p.m. and they will be eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance as per rules in force from time to time. At present, initial monthly Gross emoluments are approximately Rs. 60000/-p.m.

2.Animal Husbandry / Dairy TechnologyBachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry / Dairy Technology from any recognized University with a minimum of 50% marks (ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree in Veterinary Sciences / Animal Husbandry/Dairy Technology with a minimum of 50% marks (ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate.
3.Economics & Agricultural EconomicsBachelor’s Degree with Economics/Agriculture Economics with 50% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate or Post Graduate degree in Economics/Agriculture Economics with a minimum of 50% marks (SC/ST/PWBD applicants – 45%) in aggregate from a recognized university. Candidates with Economics as one of the main subjects at all years/semesters of the course, will only be eligible.

Age Limit

The candidate must be between 21 and 30 years of age as on 01-05-2019, i.e., the candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-05-1989 and not later than 01-05- 1998.

*Candidates from Reserved categories have some relaxation in the upper age limit. (Please verify the notification).

Selection Procedure

All the candidates applying for the post must go through a three-stage selection process.

Phase I- Preliminary Examination is an objective type online examination. It consists of

Objective Type: MCQ (Multiple Choice Questions)

  1. Test of Reasoning – 20 marks
  2. English Language – 40 marks
  3. Computer Knowledge –20 marks
  4. General Awareness – 20 marks
  5. Quantitative Aptitude – 20 marks
  6. Economic & Social Issues (with focus on Rural India) –40 marks
  7. Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on Rural India) – 40 marks

Duration: 120 Minutes Composite Time – Total 200 marks

Phase II- Main Examination will be an online examination and consists of both Multiple Choice Question and Descriptive pattern.

Phase III is the personal interview.

* The Preliminary Examination is only qualifying in nature and is meant to serve as a screening test. Candidates who qualify and rank sufficiently high as decided by NABARD shall be called for appearing at the Main Examination. The calling ratio for Main Exam shall be 1:25.

There will be a penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidate. For every wrong answer marked, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty in Phase-I and Phase-II, both. Cut-offs in Phase-I and Phase-II may be applied in two stages: (i) On scores in individual tests, (ii) On Total Score.

Since the vacancies are earmarked discipline-wise, merit list of candidates for each stage will be prepared discipline-wise

The Candidates have to apply online for the post through NABARD’s official website. All the Candidates are required to pay an application fee and/or intimation charges on or before the stipulated time.
