School of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Science is looking for prospective candidates for filling up a position of Field Assistant in R&D project entitled "Analysis of optical properties of coastal and estuarine waters and development of algorithm to retrieve chromophoric dissolved organic matter from an optical sensor" funded by Naval Research Board, New Delhi, under the guidance of Prof. Harilal B. Menon. The position is purely temporary and on a project mode for the period 2019-2022.

1. Field Assistant

  • Job Type: Research Jobs
  • No. of Vacancies: 01
  • Age Limit: No age limit
  • Educational Qualification: BSc degree in Mathematics/Physics/Biology subject.
  • Work Experience: Experience in assisting researchers in generating oceanographic data from the field. Experience in using Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler (ADCP), CTD, In-water radiometer in field and knowledge of various software for statistical analysis and to prepare graphs and maps. Knowledge of programming on MATLAB/Python.
  • Salary: Rs. 10,000/- p.m.

The candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the Personal Interview.
