1) NID DAT Exam
National Institute of Design (NID) is one of the most reputed institutions of Design in India that offers UG and PG design courses on its various campuses. Admission into these courses is done through NID Entrance Exam called as Design Aptitude Test (DAT) followed by Studio Test and Personal Interview conducted and organized by NID itself.
The four-years long B.Des programme is offered at Ahmedabad campus, two and a half years M.Des programme is offered at Ahmedabad, Bengaluru and Gandhinagar campuses and GDPD (Graduate Diploma Programme in Design) is offered at NID Vijayawada and NID Kurukshetra.
2) IIAD Design Aptitude Test
IIAD entrance exam also known as IIAD Design Aptitude Test (IIAD DAT) is conducted by Indian Institute of Art and Design in collaboration with Kingston School of Art at Kingston University, London to provide admission to aspirants in undergraduate design programmes offered by it.
3) CEED (Common Entrance Examination for Design)
Common Entrance Examination for Design (CEED) is the national level examination conducted by IIT Bombay on behalf of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
CEED is a prerequisite examination for admission to M.Des and Ph.D. programmes in design and the scores are used for admission to M.Des courses in IISc Bangalore, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, IIT Hyderabad, IIT Kanpur and in many other institutions.
4) UCEED (Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design)
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay conducts Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) under the guidance of the UCEED Admissions Committee. Aspirants, who are looking to get an admission in Bachelor of Degree programme (BDes) need to appear for UCEED exam.
5) AIEED (All India Entrance Exam for Design)
AIEED is an All India Entrance Exam for Design. ARCH Academy of Design conducts the AIEED for admission to various UG & PG courses. It is a national level entrance examination. The exam is conducted to screen the students for the various designing courses offered by the academy. Through this exam, students can get admissions into Strategic Management, Leadership Programme & the Design Management Programmes.
6) Pearl Academy Entrance Exam
In order to apply for design programmes offered at the college, aspirants need to fill Pearl Academy Entrance Exam application form either in the online or offline mode. In the application form for Pearl Academy admissions, candidates need to fill information such as their personal details, choice of course, educational qualifications and work experience.
