RBI Office Attendant exam is conducted by the Reserve Bank of India to recruit for the posts of Office Attendant in various offices of the bank. Reserve Bank of India is a reputed institution and many candidates aspire for working for it. This exam brings a good opportunity for those who have the dream of working for RBI.

RBI Office Attendant exam is divided into two stages. The first stage consists of Online Written Test and the second stage consists of language proficiency test.

RBI Office Attendant Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  3. Educational Qualification
    • The candidate should pass the class 10 final exam from a recognized Board.
    • The candidate must be proficient in the language of the state/UT that falls under that office.
    • The candidate should be a domicile of the State/UT coming under the Regional Jurisdiction of the Recruitment Office to which he/she is applying for.

  4. Age Limit
  5. The age of the candidate to appear in the RBI Office Attendant Exam should be minimum of 18 years and maximum of 25 years.
    However, there are age relaxations for candidates belonging to the reserved categories. They are given below in the table:

  6. Restrictions on Attempts
  7. There is no restriction on the number of attempts provided the upper age limit does not exceed.

Syllabus for Online Objective Test

1 Paper I

  • Numerical Ability: Simplification, Profit & Loss, Mixtures & Alligations, Permutation, Combination & Probability, Work & Time, Sequence & Series, Simple Interest & Compound Interest & Surds & Indices, Mensuration, Time & Distance, Number Systems, Data Interpretation, Ratio & Proportion, Percentage.
  • Reasoning Ability: Alphanumeric Series, Logical Reasoning, Data Sufficiency, Ranking/Directions/Alphabet Test, Seating Arrangement, Coded Inequalities, Puzzle, Coding-Decoding, Tabulation, Syllogism, Blood Relations, Input-Output.
  • General English: Reading Comprehension, Fill in the blanks, Cloze Test, Para jumbles, Vocabulary, Paragraph Completion, Multiple Meaning /Error Spotting, Sentence Completion, Miscellaneous.
  • General Awareness: Current Affairs, Static Awareness, Banking Awareness, Union Budget, Economic Survey, Financial Awareness etc.

Syllabus for Language Proficiency Test


Candidates provisionally shortlisted from the mains exam will have to undergo the Language Proficiency Test. The test will be conducted in the Official/Local Language of the state. The office-wise local languages are given below:
