Railway Protection Force Sub-Inspector Exam is conducted by the Ministry of Railways to select eligible male and female candidates for the post in Railway Protection Force (RPF) and Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF) in various zones of Indian Railways.

Candidates should start preparing for the examination well in advance to make sure they clear the selection process. The process of the recruitment will consist of an online-based test, physical efficiency test/physical measurement test, and document verification.

RPF SI Exam Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  3. Educational Qualification
  4. Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or its equivalent.

  5. Age Limit
  6. The age of the candidate to appear in the RPF SI Exam examination should be minimum of 20 years and maximum of 25 years.
    However, there are age relaxations for candidates belonging to the reserved categories. They are given below in the table:

    Candidates have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 (UR) 30 years
    Candidates have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 (OBC) 33 years
    Candidates have ordinarily been domiciled in the State of Jammu & Kashmir during the period from 01.01.1980 to 31.12.1989 (SC/ST) 35 years

RPF SI Exam Exam Pattern 2021

Some important points regarding the exam:

  • The first stage of the selection process in the Railway Protection Force Recruitment for the posts of Constable and Sub Inspector will be an online computer-based test.
  • It will consist of three different subjects namely General Awareness, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and Arithmetic.
  • There will be a total of 120 questions with a total of 120 marks.
  • The exam duration will be 1 hour 30 minutes. (90 Minutes).
  • Each question will weigh 1 mark.
  • The second stage of the exam is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurements Test (PMT).

Pattern for Computer Based Test

The first stage of the selection process in the Railway Protection Force Recruitment for the posts of Constable and Sub Inspector will be an online computer-based test. Candidates need to make sure they qualify for this stage in order to be eligible for the rest of the selection process in the recruitment.

Pattern for Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurement (PMT)

The second stage of the RPF recruitment for the posts of Constable and Sub Inspector will be a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Measurements Test (PMT). Candidates who have qualified for stage one will be eligible for this round of the selection process.
