Fellowship Entrance Test (FET)

NEET-SS is an eligibility cum ranking examination conducted by the National Board of Examination for admission to various DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016.

No other entrance examination, either at the state or the Institution level, shall be valid for entry to DM/MCh courses as per the Indian Medical Council (Amendment) Act, 2016 w.e.f. 2017 admission session. Qualifying NEET-SS is mandatory for entry to DM/MCh courses under various Universities/ Institutions in the country.

NEET-SS Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. Besides citizen of India, NRIs, Overseas Citizen of India and other foreign nationals are able to appear for the exam.

  3. Educational Qualification
  4. Candidates who are in possession of a recognized postgraduate Medical Degree/Provisional Pass Certificate (MD/MS/DNB) or an equivalent recognized qualification or likely to be in possession of the same.

  5. Age Limit
  6. There is no age limit.

  7. Restrictions on Attempts
  8. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.

NEET-SS Exam Pattern 2021

  • A candidate can choose a maximum of two super speciality courses for which his/her broad speciality qualification is eligible, at the time of online submission of the application form.
  • 40% of the questions shall be from all the eligible feeder broad speciality course(s) and the remaining 60% shall be from the super speciality course selected by the candidate at the time of online submission of the application form.
  • There shall be a separate question paper for each super speciality course /clubbed group. The total number of questions in each question paper shall be 100 which shall be divided into two parts; Part A & Part B. All the questions shall be at the PG Exit level.
