National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test is conducted by the National Testing Agency for admission to MBBS/BDS Courses and other undergraduate medical courses in approved/recognized Medical/Dental & other Colleges/Institutes in India. It is a single exam through which students are selected to various medical colleges across the country. Students have to face cutthroat competition to clear this exam every year.

NEET-UG is an offline entrance exam that replaced the All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and many other pre-medical exams conducted by states and various medical colleges.

NEET (UG) Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  3. Educational Qualification
  4. Candidates who have passed or appearing for the class 12 exam can appear for the NEET exam.

  5. Age Limit
  6. The minimum age limit to appear in this exam is 17 years.
    The rule specifying the maximum age limit of the candidate was challenged in the court of law. Thus, there is no upper age limit as of now and candidates older than 25 years of age applying for NEET (UG) 2021 will be provisionally admitted subject to the ruling of the High Court of Delhi.

  7. Restrictions on Attempts
  8. There is no restriction on the number of attempts.

The exam will be held offline consisted of a total of 180 questions bearing a total of 720 marks.
