IBPS RRB Officer Scale III exam is conducted every year by the Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) for recruiting eligible candidates to various officer posts in the Regional Rural Banks of India.

A Single (Written) exam is conducted for the post comprising of five tests including reasoning, quantitative aptitude and data interpretation, financial awareness, English/Hindi Language, and Computer Knowledge. Every year thousands of students appear for the exam but a few make it to the merit list.

Candidates appointed as IBPS RRB Officer are responsible for various banking activities for different sections of the banks including finance, billing, accounting, marketing, investment, etc. They are also responsible for handling customer transactions which is one of the major functions of any bank.

IBPS RRB Officer Scale III Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. A candidate must be either –
    (i) a Citizen of India or
    (ii) a subject of Nepal or
    (iii) a subject of Bhutan or
    (iv) a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling
    in India or
    (v) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.

  3. Educational Qualification
  4. Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. Candidates having Degree/Diploma in Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Information Technology, Management, Law, EconomicBachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized University or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate. Preference will be given to the candidates having Degree/ Diploma in Banking, Finance, Marketing, Agriculture, Horticulture, Forestry, Animal Husbandry, Veterinary Science, Agricultural Engineering, Pisciculture, Agricultural Marketing and Co-operation, Information Technology, Management, Law, Economics and Accountancy.s and Accountancy.

  5. Age Limit
  6. The age of the candidate to appear in the IBPS RRB Officer Scale III Exam should be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 40 years.
    However, there are age relaxations for candidates belonging to the reserved categories. They are given below in the table:

  7. Restrictions on Attempts
  8. There is no limit in the attempt restriction as long as candidate fulfills age limit.

  • There is a single Mains exam that is conducted for the candidates applying for the IBPS RRB Officer Scale-III.
  • Each candidate is required to obtain at least the minimum marks in each test of the Online Single Examination will be further shortlisted for consideration of the final job.

Syllabus for Interview

There is no specific syllabus for interview. In broad terms, this is really an assessment of not only a candidate’s intellectual qualities but also social traits and interest in current affairs. Some of the qualities to be judged are mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, the balance of judgement, variety and depth of interest, the ability for social cohesion, LEADERSHIP, and intellectual and moral integrity.
