The Center for Personnel Talent Management (CEPTAM) of the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO) organizes DRDO CEPTAM Exam to recruit Senior Technical Assistant ‘B’ (STA ‘B’) under Defence Research & Development Organisation Technical Cadre (DRTC) for various disciplines.

DRDO CEPTAM-STA ‘B’ Exam Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021

  1. Nationality
  2. The candidate must be a citizen of India.

  3. Educational Qualification
  4. Bachelor’s degree in science or Three years Diploma in engineering or technology or computer science, or allied subjects in the required discipline. Candidates must have acquired the EQR on a crucial date of eligibility for the posts they are applying. Those awaiting results of the final examination as on crucial date of eligibility for the prescribed qualification are not eligible and hence should not apply. B.Sc. candidates must have read the required subject for at least 02 years in the course of B.Sc. programme.

  5. Age Limit
  6. The age of the candidate to appear in the DRDO CEPTAM-STA ‘B’ Exam examination should be minimum of 18 years and maximum of 28 years.
    *Note

    The candidate must be within prescribed age limit on the crucial date of eligibility. However, upper age limit is relaxable for SC, ST, OBC, PWD, ESM, Central Govt. Civilian Employees, Disabled Defence Services Personnel, Persons domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir state during the period from 01-01-1980 to 31-12-1989 as per the rule prescribed by the Government of India. No age relaxation is allowed to SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against unreserved (UR) vacancies. Candidates belonging to PWD, ESM, Central Govt. Civilian Employees, Disabled Defence Services Personnel, Persons domiciled in Jammu & Kashmir state during the period from 01-01- 1980 to 31-12-1989 categories, who are applying against UR vacancies will get age relaxation benefit only for their respective category as above and no additional relaxation will be given for belonging to SC/ST/OBC category (Refer FAQ for further details).

  7. Restrictions on Attempts
  8. There is no fixed number of attempts for which an applicant will appear. The candidate may appear for the examination as long as you meet the eligibility requirements.

DRDO CEPTAM-STA ‘B’ Exam Exam Pattern 2021

The selection process will consist of the DRDO entry test in two tiers: Tier-I, Tier-II & preliminary document verification. Tier-I & Tier-II Tests:

i) Both the test will be Computer Based Test (CBT).
ii) The CBT will consist of objective-type multiple-choice questions only.
iii) The syllabus of the examinations will be commensurate with the essential qualifications required for the post.
iv) Tier-I examination is for screening only.
v) There will be a total of 150 questions in Tier-I CBT.
vi) There will be a total time of 120 minutes for Tier-I CBT
vii) Tier-II examination is for provisional selection.
viii) Marks will be normalized in Tier-I & Tier-II examination as per best practices.

Pattern for Tier-I CBT for Screening

Tier-I exam is for screening. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-I is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates. Candidates will be provisionally shortlisted based on Tier-I examination merit in a ratio of 1:10 (No. of vacancy: No. of shortlisted candidates) provided they secure the minimum qualifying marks in examination.

Pattern for Tier-II CBT for Provisional Selection

The CBT Tier-I Exam is a provisional selection that will be based on the merit obtained in the Tier-II examination depending upon the post/category/sub-category of the candidate. The minimum qualifying marks for Tier-II is 40% for UR/OBC candidate and 35% for SC/ST candidates.
