Chattisgarh State Services Examination is conducted by the Chattisgarh Public Service Commission to recruit qualified candidates in various civil services posts like State Civil Service, State Police Service, State Accounts Service, District Excise Officer etc.

CSSE Exam Eligibity Criteria 2021
- Nationality
- Educational Qualification
- Age Limit The age of the candidate to appear in the CSSE examination should be minimum of 21 years and maximum of 30 years.
- Up to a maximum of 5 years: If a candidate domiciled in Chattisgarh belongs to a caste or tribe notified a Scheduled Caste or Scheduled Tribe or OBC by the Government of Chattisgarh.
- Up to a maximum of 3 years: If a candidate is a bonafide repatriate of Indian origin from Burma and Srilanka.
- Up to a maximum of 8 years: If the candidate repatriates or displaced person belongs to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe or OBC as notified by Government of Chattisgarh and domiciled in Chattisgarh.
- Restrictions on Attempts
The candidate must be a citizen of India.
A candidate must have a Bachelor Degree from a recognised university.
The upper age limit will be relaxable:
There is no attempt restriction for the candidates provided the upper age limit has not been exceeded.

CSSE Exam Pattern 2021
This exam consists of three stages:
Stage I: Preliminary examination consists of two papers carrying 200 for each paper.
Stage II: Mains examination consists of seven papers carrying 200 for each paper.
Stage III: This stage consists of a Personality Test (Interview).

Syllabus for Personality Test
In broad terms, this is really an assessment of not only a candidate’s intellectual qualities but also social traits and interest in current affairs. Some of the qualities to be judged are mental alertness, critical powers of assimilation, clear and logical exposition, the balance of judgement, variety and depth of interest, the ability for social cohesion, LEADERSHIP, and intellectual and moral integrity.
