Mahayogi Gorakhnath Krishi Vigyan Kendra is a district level Farm Science Center established by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), New Delhi at Chaukmafi Peppeganj, Gorakhpur for speedy transfer of technology to the farmers’ fields. The operational area of this Krishi Vigyan Kendra comes under 9 blocks (Jangal Kaudiya, Campierganj, Bhathat, Chargawa, Pali, Pipraich, Sardar Nagar, Khorabar, and Shajanwa) of Gorakhpur district of Uttar Pradesh. The aim of Krishi Vigyan Kendra is to reduce the time lag between the generation of technology at the research institutions and its transfer to the farmer’s field for increasing production, productivity, and income from agriculture and allied sectors on a sustained basis. In order to achieve this goal, the following mandate and activities have been envisaged in the design of the Krishi Vigyan Kendra. The mandate of KVK Technology Assessment and Demonstration for Application (TADA) and Capacity Development (CD).
