Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (BPCL) invites applications from young, energetic and bright Indian male candidates meeting the following eligibility criteria and other parameters for the anticipated posts of Chemist Trainee, Operator Trainee and General Workman-B in Kochi Refinery.

Vacancy Details of BPCL Kochi Refinery:

The following vacancy details are for the Kochi Refinery of BPCL.

Total Vacancy – 147 Posts

  • Chemist Trainee: 13 Posts
  • Operator Trainee: 12 Posts
  • General Workman-B(Chemical): 63 Posts
  • General Workman-B(Mechanical): 32 Posts
  • General Workman-B(Electrical): 10 Posts
  • General Workman-B(Instrumentation): 17 Posts

Age Limit for respective posts:

Minimum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01 .10.2018 for General candidates, upper age relaxable (as per Govt. norms) for Ex-Serviceman/PWD’s/J&K Domicile and relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC(NCL) candidates against the indicative reserved posts.

Qualification & Experience:

The following qualification and experience are required for the respective post as mentioned in BPCL’s recruitment advt.

Post Qualification Experience
Chemist Trainee M.Sc. (Chemistry) preferably in Analytical Chemistry in First Class with 60% marks (Full Time course) from a recognized Indian University/ Institute. Should have minimum one year relevant post qualification work experience/one year post qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical / Fertilizer /Chemical Industry, of repute.
Operator Trainee First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology (Full time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute. Should have minimum 5 years’ post qualification experience in operation/process in a large petrochemical plant or a major petrochemical unit within a petroleum refinery. The period of apprenticeship training shall also be considered against experience.
General Workman-B (Chemical) First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/Technology (Full time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute. Should have minimum one year relevant post qualification work experience/one year post qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer / Engineering Industry, of repute.
General Workman-B (Mechanical) First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
General Workman-B (Electrical) First Class Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Full time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
General Workman-B (Instrumentation) First Class Diploma in Instrument Technology OR Instrumentation & Control OR Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering (Full time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
